What about the Promenade and Amphitheatre

How could we make the current promenade something more inviting….and that might eventually fit in with the picnic/recreation area in the rest of the park ?  I had a thought about how the SE end of the long promenade could become more inviting  for people to explore all the way along the promenade , not just hang out at the Appleshed end.

We  might think of putting a large scale  checker board on pavers, like the one at the Honest Lawyer,  down in that corner too – get people to sit on the benches down there , play checkers . (don’t worry about funding now – obviously we’d have to get a patron or crowd source to fund this little guy , with a commemorative plaque up – like “ Hugh Gordon  pavilion” or something similar !!)
